Andrew Kohn's Four Inscapes on poetry by
Gerard Manley Hopkins
and Glenn Rudolph's setting of Wallace Stevens' poem
Peter Quince
at the Clavier were both commissioned by the Camerata with
assistance from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. The
recordings of Copland's Lark, Barber's
Agnus Dei, and the
traditional songs Shenandoah and
Wade in the Water are taken
from a live concert performance at Synod Hall, Pittsburgh in
November 1993. All other pieces were recorded in 1997 at
Church of the Ascension, Pittsburgh.
